We were rushing for a event over at Butter Factory, and the place was quite full on a Wednesday night. The waitress took only a moment to look through her reservations and decided one spot could be given for us if we stayed only for 45 minutes. We were totally fine. In fact, I am glad the hostess was quite flexible. I have seen places where customers were turned down for a quick dinner at 7pm, even though the empty table was only needed for an 8.30pm reservation. Service was prompt, ice water served freely.
Skate Wing Chop ($36)
Catch of the day!
Taste-wise for food, it was quite average. Perhaps, it was due to what we ordered?
We took a Skate Wing Chop ($36) with burnt lemon butter and loads of fries underneath it and a Daily Special Catch. The Skate Wing Chop- you know that kind of BBQ belachan stingray which you eat at hawker's centre for $12 a-piece? Yeah, it's that. Except, at a price tag of $28. The mains here are slightly pricier, compared to say, Over Easy.
Portion-wise is okay for a grown person, but there could have been more variety of side dishes.
I would possibly come back for the Yellowfin Tuna Steak ($36) with fresh herb vinaigrette that I saw the table next to us order, which looked quite tasty...
Verdict:
Food: 2.5/5
Service: 4/5
Ambiance: 5/5
Total Score: 3/5
[1- Never visit again, 2-Won't visit unless there's no other option, 3-Perhaps, 4 & 5- Yes!]
