Miam Miam @Bugis Junction

It was quite full on a weekday evening, and we were pretty apprehensive at getting a table. The huge menu has quite a portion dedicated to sweet desserts, and since we were craving for an after-dinner bite, this place's naturally the choice.

It's an open concept cafe, you can see what's everybody eating, comparing what you see on the menu and the real thing ;)

We ordered:

 French Toast ($10.80)

Caramelised Bananas Pancake ($13.80)

Bananas cooked in a deep golden caramel sauce, garnished with toasted almond nibs

Hot Cafe Au Lait ($5.80)

Equal portions of steamed milk and coffee

The French Toast ($10.80)... is overrated. There was a sentence on the menu that says, "Don't ask, just order!" Which we shouldn't have obliged to... Be warned, it's a pretty big portion for two if you're coming here after dinner. Well, we shared among three persons and felt quite full afters. The toasts were not eggy enough, but different people have different preferences. We felt, it's not exactly a "must-order". Don't forget the little tub of syrup on the side. Mind you, the top part is whipped cream, not ice cream... ...

The Caramelised Bananas Pancake ($13.80) tasted better, perhaps as it's a classic winning combination- chocolate, caramel and bananas. There's nothing to fault, pancakes being their forte. But it's not a must order either.

Another friend ordered a Hot Cafe Au Lait ($5.80), and it's pretty much your regular Starbucks grade.
One thing that egged (pun intended) us was that we had to pay for regular water (I don't mind tap water honestly)! ...........................

Doubt we'd return- there are way too many such cafes with similar selections around the area to explore.
