This was a very last minute staycation booking- we actually wanted to book Grand Copthorne Waterfront, but we couldn't find it in the Hotel Quickly list at 12pm, so we switched to Grand Park City Hall. Lesson learnt, book it when you see it!
But, this booking turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

When we reached the hotel, it was 4+ in the afternoon. As there was complimentary parking from the hotel, we parked our car in the basement. You are allowed up to 2 complimentary passes a day.
We were offered a room upgrade to their Crystal Club for a mere SGD70++ at the counter which we were grinning to ourselves. That's pretty much dinner covered, if you're okay with snacks.
How much we paid:
After many discounts, we paid only $130 for a Superior Room. Plus the room upgrade, of SGD 70++ (=$82), we paid only $200 for a Crystal Club Superior Room, which would have costed $400 after taxes. The highlight of this room is the perks that come along with the usual Club privileges- access to the private Crystal Club Lounge, with the complimentary all-day refreshments, afternoon tea and evening cocktails.
