A re-visit to one of my favourite hide-outs in Orchard! Food and service is great as usual.

This restaurant's pretty quiet as usual. If you're looking for somewhere quiet and beautiful to spend some intimate moments, this's the place. Although the pool was under renovation, the lights and view of Orchard made up for its unsightly barricades.
The place at night!
The full menu.
We requested for their set dinner, and chose one of each.
Starter
Heirloom Tomato & Buffalo Mozzarella Salad, Gazpacho Dressing
Pool Grill Salmon Caesar Salad
Romaine Lettuce, Croutons, Parmesan Cheese, Anchovy Dressing
Main
Seared Barramundi
Cauliflower Tempura & Puree, Shiraz Reduction
Braised Boneless Short Rib
Pomme Puree, Confit Garlic
Dessert
Soft Pannacotta
Vanilla Cream Brulee
On the whole, the meal is wonderful. Their service is warm and friendly, with quite young and energetic service staff who's quick to light up with their smiles.
Bread!
They asked us if we would like another round of bread, which we promptly said "Yes!" as the bread is nicely toasted and the condiments went very well with the breads. I made a passing comment that, in fact, the birthday boy wants two. We did not request for any birthday desserts or whatsoever, and guess what, they surprised us! As my partner's back was facing backwards, they stealthily made their way to our table with a slice of , with me trying to act all calm and normal. When they finally brought the cake over, they broke into the classic birthday song melody. It was so thoughtful! I'd give them all 5 stars, for their initiative.
Food wise, there's little details here and there which we wouldn't fault, but on the whole, it was great for the price paid. The Heirloom Tomato & Buffalo Mozzarella Salad with Gazpacho Dressing had ample cheese to go with the greens, and the ending note with the anchovy added value to the starter.
The Seared Barramundi with Cauliflower Tempura & Puree, Shiraz Reduction was quite tasty as well. The Barramundi was seared to perfection- skin crispy and salty to the right extent, while the meat remains tender and juicy. Its portion is not too small either, which is a relief, as we had seen our fair share of seafood at a small portion just because it was part of a promotion or at a discounted price. The Braised Boneless Short Rib with Pomme Puree, Confit Garlic, is a classic dish done well, nothing of a highlight. The meat is tender, well-marinated and the side dishes provided a good complement to the main.
Desserts, Vanilla Cream Brulee and Soft Pannacotta came next, and they were faultless too. All in all, the food is great, the service is awesome. Well, we love this place!
Birthday Slice!
It is actually Raspberry Chocolate Cake (something like that) selling at Java+ cafe on level 1 at $7.50++!
Update: As of 18 May 2015, set dinner prices have been reduced from $48++ to $35++! :) Includes free flow of ice teas & hot beverages too!

A girls night out, this place is perfect more for romantic dates. Nonetheless, the quiet place provided a good place for intimate girls talks.
The Wagyu burger and fries’ ($54.90) portion is too big for girls, just
nice for guys. The quality and ingredients in it was superb.
Wagyu beef nicely marinated and juicy enough, neither were
they stingy with the thick piece Foie Gras. The fries were the chunky kinds,
nicely done as well.
Plus GST and service taxes adding up to more than $100 for wagyu burgers, this place is more appropriate
for anniversaries or birthdays than a normal meal out.
We stayed for a few hours and actually wanted to get a
dessert but was too full. Oh well, another time.
Verdict:
Food: 3/5
Service: 3/5
Ambiance: 3/5
Total Score: 3/5
[1- Never visit again, 2-Won't visit unless there's no other option, 3-Perhaps, 4 & 5- Yes!]
